Two dead after Saturday night shooting

Two people were fatally wounded Saturday night by gunfire in northeast Oklahoma City, police said.

Neither of their names were released Sunday.

About 6:30 p.m., officers were called to 1407 NE 46 where they found two gunshot victims. One died at the scene, and the other died at a nearby hospital, officer Hayden Barnes said.

Investigators were able to get the nickname of the shooter, and he was arrested shortly after the shooting, Barnes said.

The shooter’s name was not released Sunday at the request of homicide detectives ,Barnes said.
