Not working
Network television news programs rarely report anything favorable to President Trump. CBS news accidentally gave him some good news when it surveyed the opinions of those who watched Trump’s State of The Union speech. Seventy-five percent approved of Trump’s policies, including on the economy, national security and immigration, while 25 percent disapproved. Those who responded identified themselves as 42 percent Republicans, 33 percent independents and 25 percent Democrats. Republicans are expected to agree with the president, but it took the support of the independents for Trump to achieve 75 percent approval, leaving Democrats alone with their 25 percent disapproval. This shows these negative television news reports are not influencing the public and don’t reflect the true feeling of the majority of Americans.
