Higher prices?

-

Economists expect that a gauge of U.S. wholesale prices rose last month.

They predict the Labor Department will report today that its producer price index edged up 0.4 percent in January. That would represent a gain from December, when wholesale prices fell 0.1 percent, pulled lower by cheaper foods and lower shipping costs. The index measures the cost of goods before they reach the consumer.
