Free landscape program is offered

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation will host a Clean and Beautiful Schools’ Grounds Maintenance Network Meeting from 8:15 a.m. to noon March 1 at Metro Technology Center Springlake campus Economic Development Center, 1700 Springlake Drive.

The free landscape management education program is for maintenance personnel and volunteers who maintain the grounds of school campuses, parks, libraries, nonprofit properties, neighborhood greenbelts and other public spaces.

Topics will include landscape maintenance techniques, equipment selection, maintenance and safety and ideal tree and shrub choices for school and park grounds.

Speakers will include Jerrod Dean, HortiCare Landscape Management; Geoff Smith, Smith Farm and Garden; and Brian Dougherty, Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
