Edmond school district to host public forum
Edmond Public Schools will host its annual public forum from 7 to 8 p.m. Feb. 26 in the Board of Education Room at the district’s Administrative Center, 1001 W Danforth Road.
“This is an evening for our district and site level administrators, as well as school board members to listen to ideas, accolades or concerns from parents, students and community members,” Superintendent Bret Towne said.
Towne said the feedback provided at this forum helps the district make decisions regarding its programs and services.
There is no preregistration required. Patrons should sign up the night of the event and will be called to the podium in the order in which they are received. Each speaker is limited to five minutes.
Board members and administrators take notes during the forum but do not engage in dialogue and no votes are taken.
Because of state and federal privacy laws, patrons may not discuss individual personnel issues, contract negotiations, and due process or student disciplinary actions.
