Police ID man killed in Sunday shooting

Oklahoma City police have identified a man killed in a shooting early Sunday morning.

Jose Cazares, 36, was shot near N McKinley Avenue and Linwood Boulevard about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, police report. Officers found him lying in a parking lot at 1529 Linwood Blvd.

Cazares was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police report.

No one has been arrested, and anyone with information about the shooting death, the 16th homicide of the year in Oklahoma City, can call police at the homicide tip line, 297-1200.
