Tulsa McLain basketball player dies
Students gathered at Tulsa McLain High School on Wednesday to honor Anthony Harris, 18, who died on Tuesday.
A senior on the Tulsa McLain basketball team, Harris played in the Class 4A state tournament last week at State Fair Arena.
“We had great support from the community, district and students, not just the seniors. They were all behind him to celebrate his life,” McLain principal John Williams told the Tulsa World. “He was almost like a son to me. When my son (John Jr.) came here, he embraced him like a brother. Every time I saw him, he hugged me.”
