Norman North guard named Conference Player of the Year
Norman North boys basketball didn't come away with a state title this year, but it did manage to take home a lot of end-of-season hardware.
Norman North senior guard Juwan White took home Player of the Year honors for the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference, while his coach, Bryan Merritt, was named Coach of the Year after leading the Timberwolves to a 25-3 record and a COAC championship.
Edmond Santa Fe forward Tauriawn Knight was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while Edlam counterpart Drew Tennial of Edmond Memorial, took home Defensive Player of the Year honors. Norman guard Dayten Holman was named the Newcomer of the Year.

Heritage Hall rallies past Harrah
Heritage Hall’s undefeated start to the baseball season looked like it was done.
Down to the final out and trailing by three, the Chargers rallied Monday afternoon in an 8-7 walk-off district win over Harrah.
Three straight doubles by Blake Adams, Colby Lewis and Mart Smith drove in two runs. Landry
Kyle then singled and Preston Taylor ended the game with a walk-off single.
Heritage Hall improved to 10-0 on the year and will face Harrah at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday following a rainout Tuesday. The game will be at Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
