- FROM STAFF REPORTS

No. 23-ranked Oklahoma State lost to Texas Tech 4-3 in eight innings on Friday in Lubbock, Texas.

The loss marked the third time this season that OSU (24-10, 3-2) has been bested in extra innings.

OSU's offense started strong early, scoring a pair of runs in the top of the first inning. Texas Tech's Kassidy Scott was forced to throw 49 pitches during the opening inning as the Cowgirls jumped out to an early lead.

But the Cowgirls scored just one run in the remainder of the game.

Kiana Workman delivered the walk-off blow with a liner that cleared Jessi Haffner's outstretched glove at first base, bringing home the winning run from third base.

OSU and Texas Tech return to action Saturday at noon in the rubber game.

•Mariah Lopez and Paige Lowary combined in secondranked Oklahoma’s first no-hitter of the season as the Sooners run-ruled No. 15-ranked Baylor 9-0 in five innings.
