McGregor involved in melee after news conference
Missouri freshman to enter NBA draft
Missouri freshman forward Jontay Porter is following brother Michael Jr. into the NBA draft.
Porter said Thursday that he will enter the draft without hiring an agent, allowing him to pull out of the draft and retain eligibility.
The 6-foot-11 forward averaged 9.9 points and 6.8 rebounds. Conor McGregor was involved in a backstage melee after a news conference for UFC223, and video footage appears to show the promotion's biggest star throwing a hand truck at a bus full of fighters, injuring at least one scheduled to compete Saturday.
Video showed McGregor with a group of people causing chaos Thursday as they took an elevator to the loading dock at Barclays Center. He can be seen tossing trash cans and being prevented from throwing a barricade at a bus during his unannounced appearance in New York.
The New York Police Department says it is investigating the incident.
McGregor hasn't fought for UFC since November 2016 and was stripped this week by UFC President Dana White of the 155-pound championship he had never defended. White also said this week he did not expect McGregor to attend Saturday's fights.
McGregor profanely responded on Twitter and wrote, "You'll strip me of nothing."

Ohio State is investigating sexual misconduct allegations against a former wrestling team trainer, who was with the team from the 1970s through the 1990s, the university announced Thursday.
The university said a person recently came forward to accuse Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005, of sexual misconduct.
The person said there were multiple victims over a period of time, said Chris Davey, an Ohio State spokesman. The allegations include acts of sexual misconduct with student-athletes and other instances of sexual misconduct, the university said
