OCA announces All-State boys basketball rosters

The Oklahoma Coaches Associatio­n released its AllState teams on Thursday for this summer’s annual All-State game.

The All-State game will take place on July 26, 2018, at the Mabee Center at Oral Roberts University. The small school game starts at 7 p.m. while the large school game starts at 8:30.

Here is look at the AllState teams:

OSSAA moves April board meeting

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Associatio­n board of directors meeting this month has been pushed back a week.

With executive director David Jackson scheduled to be out of town for a National Federation of State High School Associatio­ns meeting, the OSSAA’s monthly meeting has been moved to April 25. It was originally scheduled for April 18.

Next week’s appeals panel meeting remains on schedule for Wednesday.

OCS wins Edmond Memorial Invitation­al

Oklahoma Christian School’s boys golf team, the Class 3A defending state champion, picked up a big tournament win Tuesday.

The Saints won the Edmond Memorial Invitation­al, topping the host Bulldogs by 11 strokes and East power Owasso by 14.

OCS shot a total of 618 over two rounds. In the first round, it sat at 316, seven strokes behind Memorial. But it cut 14 strokes in the final round to take control.

Edmond Memorial’s Zane Heusel and OCS star Jaxon Dowell, an Oklahoma commitment, each shot 151, which forced a playoff. Heusel won on the second hole.

Guthrie’s Luke Morgan finished third, a stroke behind Heusel and Dowell.
