It’s tour time. Mark your calendars.

Architectu­re tour

The American Institute of Architects Central Oklahoma Chapter will present the 17th annual Architectu­ral Tour from noon to 5 p.m. April 14. The self-guided, eightstop tour includes residences and commercial buildings.

Tickets are available online and at select outlets. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the tour. For more informatio­n, go to www. aiacoc.org. Tour stops are:

Quail Creek

The third annual Quail Creek Home Tour will be April 21, featuring three homes in South Quail Creek and three homes in North Quail Creek.

The following tickets are offered:

• Regular tour, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: $15. Fitness walking tour: meet at Quail Creek Golf and Country Club at 10:30 a.m.

• Twilight tour, regular tour plus 6 to 8 p.m. bonus tour with cocktails and light appetizers: $30.

The Quail Creek Home Tour is sponsored by Quick Print, Sonic, The Well, Sierra Snowden Realty, Fabrics Unlimited, GBH Designs and Quail Creek Bank. Last year, the tour raised $40,000 for neighborho­od beautifica­tion.

Parade of Homes

The Parade of Homes Spring Festival will be April 27-29 and May 4-6, presented by the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Associatio­n. New houses will be open free to the public from 1 to 7 p.m. each day.

Sponsors include Oklahoma Natural Gas Co., Red Valley Landscape Constructi­on, SWM & Sons Homes, Two Structures Homes, McCaleb Homes, and Sun Custom Homes.

Symphony Show House

The 45th Symphony Show House is “a jewel of European Charm” in the Dutch Forest neighborho­od of wooded northeast Oklahoma City.

Local interiors designers will transform the empty space into the Estate in Dutch Forest for the annual fundraiser, May 5-20, for the Oklahoma City Orchestra League and its music education programs. Judy Austin and Jane Krizer are co-chairmen.

The 19-room, 6,451-square-foot house at 3115 Dutch Forest Lane, northeast of Bryant Avenue and NE 122, was custom built in 1994 on 1.67 acres.

The French-style home has a kitchen that is a chef’s paradise, a master bedroom with a spalike bath and private patio, and a family area with a sun room overlookin­g a patio with a pergola covered in wisteria. For more informatio­n, go to www. okcorchest­raleague.org.

Miller in May

Miller in May will include the Miller by Moonlight Home & Garden Tour May 19-20, although details are still being worked out.

The historic Miller neighborho­od, platted just before statehood and developed mostly in the 1920s and 1930s by George Miller, is bounded by NW 10 to the south, NW 16 to the north, N May Avenue to the west and N Villa Avenue to the east.

The entire neighborho­od is on the National Register of Historic Places. Proceeds from the annual tour benefit numerous projects, such as the installati­on of decorative street lamps and beautifica­tion of medians to enhance quality of living and maintain the area’s historic integrity.
