State companies receive export awards
TULSA — Three Oklahoma companies this week were recognized for contributing to the state economy through exports.
Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb on Thursday presented Filtra-Systems Co., Kimray Inc. and Sawyer Manufacturing Co. with export achievement certificates during the 35th Annual Oklahoma World Trade Conference in Tulsa. The companies are clients of the International Trade Association’s U.S. Commercial Service Oklahoma (CS Oklahoma).
“It is fitting that this year’s theme is centered on leveling the playing field for U.S. companies to better compete internationally,” Lamb said in a presentation to business leaders and export experts. “Today, we honor three clients of CS Oklahoma, who have contributed more than $5 billion in exports, supporting more than 28,000 jobs in our great state.”
Filtra-Systems provides engineering, manufacturing, installation and maintenance services to the oil and natural gas and automotive industries. After making its first export sale to Canada, the company has expanded its global portfolio to include sales in Mexico, India, China and Brazil.
Kimray manufactures oil and natural gas control equipment. Kimray began exporting to international distributors in Canada and Germany and has since expanded to Australia, South America and the Middle East.
“We are humbled and honored to be recognized with this award,” said Dustin Anderson, Kimray’s vice president of sales and marketing. “It’s a blessing to see the hard work of our international team and our partners recognized as we take our mission of making a difference in the lives of those we serve around the world.”
Sawyer Manufacturing designs and builds pipeline and welding equipment. Sawyer equipment can be found in job sites in all 50 states and more than 50 countries. Some of the primary export markets served are Canada, Mexico, South Africa, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Kuwait and the Netherlands.
