Film about suicide to be shown
HeartLine will show “The S Word,” a documentary about suicide, at 6 p.m. May 3 at the Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive. The film’s director, Lisa Klein, will take questions afterward.

Feds seek input on opioid epidemic
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of Rural Development is seeking ideas to address the opioid epidemic. People who know of an effective program to prevent or treat addiction among rural populations can share what they’ve learned via https://www.usda.gov/topics/opioids.
Nursing facilities are recognized
The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living recognized 11 Oklahoma facilities for quality improvements.
The recognized facilities are: Grace Living Center SW, Oklahoma City; Emerald Care Center, Oklahoma City; Grace Living Center, Edmond; Cedar Creek Nursing Center, Norman; Rainbow Health Care Community, Bristow; Shanoan Springs Residence, Chickasha; Grace Living Center, Claremore; Forrest Manor Nursing Center, Dewey; Medicalodge, Dewey; Montevista Rehabilitation and Skilled Care, Lawton; and The Village at Southern Hills, Tulsa.
Integris Hospice seeks volunteers

Medical marijuana businesses organize
A new trade organization, New Health Solutions Oklahoma, will represent medical marijuana businesses. A public vote on June 26 will decide whether Oklahoma will allow medical use of marijuana.
