Purcell hires Scott
Purcell finally has its head football coach.
After months of searching, hiring one coach and losing him, Purcell named longtime Blanchard defensive coordinator Tracy Scott its head coach Monday night.
And it’s Scott’s tenure at Blanchard that helped Purcell choose him. The Dragons have now had six different coaches in seven seasons.
Purcell had hired Steve Gale, but he was forced to back out due to unforeseen circumstances with his Alva home.
John Higbee resigned following the season to accept the same position at Clinton.
