- FROM STAFF REPORTS

A 27-year-old woman was being sought by police Thursday in connection with a fatal motel shooting in southeast Oklahoma City.

Ashley Nicole Tookalo is wanted on a murder complaint in the death of Mark Anthony Harjo, 32, of Holdenville.

Harjo was found April 6 inside a room at the Executive Inn. He appeared to have been shot to death, police reported.

A witness told police Tookalo was inside the motel room when the shooting took place. Police reported Harjo was shot during an altercation inside the room with an unidentified male. The witness said Tookalo fled the scene with the unidentified male.

Police were told Tookalo may have had something to do with a "set up" resulting in the shooting, according to a court affidavit filed Thursday in Oklahoma County District Court.

Tookalo has been to prison in the past for credit card and drug offenses. Records show she has lived in Anadarko.

Officers who killed suicidal man cleared of wrongdoing

Two Stillwater police officers who fatally shot a suicidal man last month were cleared of wrongdoing and have returned to work.

Officers Micheal Casteel and Trevor Meridith had been on paid administrative leave since March 28.

That night, William John Dominguez, 31, called 911 and told the dispatcher that he was suicidal and had a gun and a knife. He also told the dispatcher he was going to jump into traffic, Stillwater police Capt. Kyle Gibbs said.

Casteel and Meridith found Dominguez in the 1300 block of North Boomer Road. As they approached, he pulled a pistol and a knife from his pants. Both officers shot Dominguez, who died at the scene, he said.

The officers were cleared by the Payne County district attorney's office and an internal review, and have returned to work, Gibbs said.
