A second boy who was found in a weekend house fire died early Tuesday, officials report.

Teeshawn Harding, 3, was pronounced dead at 12:47 a.m. Tuesday in a Dallas hospital, where he had been taken with injuries following the Saturday fire in Oklahoma City, a Texas medical examiner’s spokeswoman said.

Teeshawn’s brother, Deon Harding, 2, died early Saturday at OU Medical Center.

Both boys suffered fatal injuries about 1 a.m. Saturday at 1029 NE 28, according to Oklahoma City firefighters.

The grandfather of the boys, Phillip Harding, 69, who lived at the house that was destroyed, said the family needs the public’s help for burial and medical expenses.

Harding said he thinks the fire was intentionally set and someone slashed tires on vehicles and smashed a brick through a rear windshield of one car before the fire started.

He said he had a working smoke detector in his house that woke him up, but he was unable to get the boys out in time because the fire that started in the back of the house moved too quickly.

The cause of the fire remained undetermined Tuesday, a fire spokesman said.

The damage estimate is $41,000.

In Oklahoma City this year, 13 people have died as a result of house fires.
