Edmond Economic Abstract released
EDMOND — The Edmond Economic Development Authority has recently released the 2018 Edmond Economic Abstract, featuring residential and commercial real estate markets information, tax collections and education information.
The 10-page economic profile, published annually by the EEDA and sponsored by Francis Tuttle Technology Center, contains demographic information including population, income levels, cost of living, crime figures, traffic counts and more.

Housing agency adds Freddie Mac
Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency has added Freddie Mac to its line of homebuyer down payment assistance products.
Using Freddie Mac HFA Home Possible, eligible buyers may receive $1,500 or $2,500 to be used for closing costs, depending on income. They will also receive 3.5 percent of OHFA Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance toward the total loan amount. Neither has to be repaid.
Potential homebuyers must first qualify with one of OHFA’s mortgage lenders who will determine loan qualification. Buyers may purchase in any Oklahoma county. Homes must be used as the buyer’s primary residence. First-time, current and previous homebuyers are eligible.

Price Edwards adds new associate
Price Edwards & Co, has added associate Michael Massad to its multifamily investment team. He has been in the real estate business since 2012 focusing on sales and marketing, property management, cash flow analysis, investment valuation, property rehabilitation, and financial modeling.
Previously, he managed a $50 million portfolio of multifamily properties. He has analyzed investments worth more than $150 million and led more than 40 property renovations.
Arvest Central Morgage earns honors
Arvest Central Mortgage Co., a subsidiary of Arvest Bank, has been recognized by Fannie Mae as a STAR mortgage servicing performer for 2017. STAR stands for Servicer Total Achievement and Rewards and is a performance management and recognition program.
The recognition “is a reflection of the excellence our team members strive for every day on behalf of our customers,” said Steven Plaisance, president and CEO of Arvest Central Mortgage. “Although collecting mortgage payments is a significant part of what we do, we also work hard to help struggling families by working with them to provide solutions that keep them in their homes.”
AC Hotel Bricktown officially opens
AC Hotel Bricktown, 411 E Sheridan Ave., a “European lifestyle” hotel from AC Hotels by Marriott, had its grand opening recently following a soft opening in December. Michael Carrier, president of the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau, was featured speaker.
