Oklahoma Combined Weekly Auction Summary. Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report and Cow and Bull Report for the week of May 14 through Thursday.

Receipts: 36,122; Last week: 34,274; Last year: 40,663 Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for Oklahoma auctions. Seven auctions reported this week: Ada, Apache, El Reno, McAlester, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Woodward. Feeder steers sold $1-$8 lower. Feeder heifers $3-$6 lower. Steer and heifer calves sold $2-$10 lower. CME feeder cattle futures have closed lower the majority of the week this week. Rain and thundersto­rms are expected for many areas of the trading region next week. Supply included 78 percent over 600 lbs.; 42 percent heifers.

SLAUGHTER CATTLE

Slaughter cattle trend in Texas and Kansas traded $7-$8 lower. Live sales in Nebraska $7-$10 lower and dressed sales $9-$10 lower. Slaughter cattle on a national basis for negotiated cash trades through Friday afternoon totaled 105,247 head. Last week’s total head count was 137,417. Midwest Direct Markets:

CATTLE SLAUGHTER

Federally Inspected Cattle: 660,000 head up 7.8 percent from a year ago. Western Cornbelt Direct Lean Hog Base Price: Weighted average price of packers bids on a carcass basis delivered to packing plants as of Friday was $64.59. HOG FUTURES

Dressed Basis: (74 percent yield): June $74.70; July $77.25; Aug. $76.63; Oct. $62.83. HOG SLAUGHTER Federally Inspected Hogs: 2.348 million head, up 3.7 percent from a year ago. The Noble County Livestock Auction in Perry Oklahoma had a fire on Tuesday. The barn was a total loss.

Fortunatel­y, there were no injuries and all livestock was accounted for. They are planning on rebuilding and could possibly be looking at a temporary building to hold a sale until there is a new building. Not sure when the next sale will take place. Pork: 502.9 million lbs., up 5.6 percent from a year ago.
