OKC dominates Nashville 11-2

The Oklahoma City Dodgers cruised to an 11-2 victory against the Nashville Sounds to win the series on Sunday afternoon.

Jake Peter hit two home runs as the Oklahoma City Dodgers beat the Nashville Sounds 11-2 to win the series Sunday afternoon at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Peter was 2-for-4 and drove in four runs while recording the first multi-homer game of his career.

Donovan Solano and Travis Taijeron hit the other two homers in the game as the Dodgers tied their second-highest home run total of the season with four.

Solano finished a triple shy of the cycle, recording a game-high four hits along with two RBI and two runs scored.

Dodgers starting pitcher Guillermo Moscoso allowed just one hit and recorded four strikeouts in four scoreless innings. Reliever Joe Broussard (3-0) tossed a scoreless sixth inning and was credited with the win.

With Sunday’s victory, the Dodgers earned their third win of the four-game series and improved to 27-13 on the season, while Nashville fell to 21-21.

The Dodgers are scheduled to begin a nine-game road trip starting with a matchup against the Memphis Redbirds at 6:35 p.m. Monday.

•In Saturday's game, Dennis Santana threw six shutout innings in his TripleA debut as the Dodgers defeated the Sounds 4-2 in Oklahoma City. Santana, one of the Dodgers' top prospects, allowed just three hits before exiting the game with a 3-0 lead.

The right-hander's 11 strikeouts marked a seasonhigh for an Oklahoma City pitcher.
