Savvy Senior will share gadget tips at local seminars.
Norman Regional Health System is sponsoring a series of free educational outreach events throughout the south Oklahoma City metro area called Great Gadgets for Easier Aging.
Hosted by Savvy Senior columnist Jim Miller, these events will demonstrate 25 top-rated, best-selling products and technologies that are specifically designed, or best suited, for older adults.
Some of the products featured will include the best of senior-friendly cellphones, smartphones, tablets, TV remotes, computers, health and fitness devices, medication reminders, walking canes, amplified telephones, video calling devices, driving aids, television listening systems, magnifiers, medical alert devices and home safety products.
These free events are open to the public and will take place over several months in different locations throughout south Oklahoma City, including:
•May 24 — Village on the Park, 1515 Kingsridge Dr.
•June 8 — Earlywine YMCA, 11801 S. May Ave
•July 25 — Blanchard Senior Center, 101 S. Main St., Blanchard
•July 26 — Norman Senior Citizens Center, 329 S. Peters Ave., Norman
•Aug. 24 — First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 211 W Comanche St., Norman
•Sept. 13 — OU Retiree Association, 300 W Comanche St., Norman
