Five Delta Gamma alumnae, including an incoming university president, were honored by the Oklahoma City Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter for their professional accomplishments and service to the community.
“We are proud of these outstanding women, and want them to know we recognize their contributions to the community, our sorority and to their professional careers,” said Jane Clark, Delta Gamma alumnae president.
Martha Burger was honored for her position as incoming president of Oklahoma City University. Burger, the first female president in the 114-yearold university’s history, is also co-founder of Amethyst Investments LLC and a member of the board of directors of Tapstone Energy.
Amy Ayres is vice president of Student Affairs and dean of students at Oklahoma City University.
She oversees OCU Counseling and Career Services, OCU Housing and Residence Life and OCU Greek Life. Ayres serves Delta Gamma on the regional level as a regional recruitment specialist.
Kate Stanton is the assistant vice president for Student Affairs at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and associate Title IX coordinator. Stanton serves Delta Gamma on the national level as trustee of fraternity programming. She has been named Outstanding Panhellenic Advisor and Outstanding Freshman Seminar Instructor at OU.
Lindy Ritz, who was homecoming queen when she attended OU, was honored for her more than 35 years with the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. As director, she was responsible for the largest FAA field facility composed of about 7,200 federal employees and contractors. She now serves as president of The Ritz Group LLC, which performs aviation and management consulting. She was a member of the inaugural class of Leadership Oklahoma (now serving on the board of directors) and is the Oklahoma aeronautics commissioner for District 4.
Billi Kaye Meacham, a former Miss Oklahoma was recognized for her academic achievements and campus involvement while at OU. Meacham was vice president of the first President’s Leadership Class. She was president of Panhellenic and Outstanding Senior Woman of her class, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.
