Wednesday @ Will Rogers Gardens lecture series is open to the public and is presented at no charge by the Oklahoma County Extension Master Gardeners and the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service.
Beekeeping Basics, 6 to 7 p.m. June 13, Will Rogers Exhibition Center, 3400 NW 36. No registration is required, and all ages are welcome.
COMMONWEALTH URBAN FARMS
The following workshops are located at CommonWealth Urban Farms, 3310 N Olie Ave. Workshops are $10 per session, $15 per couple or pair, and free to volunteers. Full season price is $100 for 18 workshops. Pay on-site with cash or check for individual classes or purchase a season membership online. No registration required. Pocket Gardens, 11 a.m. to noon Saturday. Participants will see examples of plants that can be tucked into the smallest of spaces, and they will get to help plant several on-site pocket gardens.
The Other Bees — Native Bees in Oklahoma, 11 a.m. to noon June 9. Learn about the lives of the Mason and Leafcutter bees and build bee nest boxes to encourage these gentle but important pollinators to come to our gardens.
Re-connecting to Earth Medicine: Herbs and their Healing Properties, 11 a.m. to noon, June 30. Explore the basic healing properties of herbs that surround us such as, yarrow, sage, rosemary, calendula, thyme, plantain, nettle and dandelion.

Tomato Titans: An Introduction to Growing Tomatoes, 10 a.m. to noon June 2, 2nd Floor Conference Room and garden grounds. Learn how to start tomato seeds and transplant their seedlings, then get into the nitty-gritty of caring for tomatoes as the weather heats up. Cost is $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers. Register by May 29.
Soil: The Key to a Healthy Garden,
1 to 3 p.m. June 9, 2nd Floor Conference Room and garden grounds. Learn the basics of soil and steps to creating great compost. Cost is $8 for members, $12 for nonmembers. Register by June 5.
Garden Maintenance Part 1, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. June 23, Commonwealth Urban Farms, 3310 N Olie Ave. Elia Woods, of Commonwealth, will offer a behind-the-scenes visit to her urban farm and address some of the most essential tasks in maintaining a healthy edible garden: watering and fertilizing. Cost is $14 for members, $18 for nonmembers. Register by June 19.

Central Oklahoma Bonsai Society 30th Annual Show, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 2, Will Rogers Exhibition Center, 3400 NW 36. No trees will be available for sale. Admission is free.
Midwest City Council of Garden Clubs annual Garden Tour, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9. Tour features five destinations, including 12050 Jaycie Circle, 2044 Ridgeview Road, 1112 Live Oak Drive, and the newly planted Monarch Way Station at 1441 N Key Blvd. The Atkinson Heritage Center also is opening its home and gardens for this year’s tour. Tickets are $5 and will be available at each tour location. Open to the public.
Central Oklahoma Cactus and Succulent Society Annual Show and Sale, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 16 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 17, Will Rogers Exhibition Center, 3400 NW 36.
