- FROM STAFF REPORTS

The OKC Innovation District and the Oklahoma Health Center Foundation are co-hosting a half-day symposium featuring sensor technology from 1 to 5 p.m. June 11 at the Embassy Suites/Downtown Medical Center, 741 N Phillips Ave.

The event will focus on advances in sensor technology from a panel of experts. Over the course of a dozen short talks, the symposium will cover how sensors are being used to improve longevity, optimize processes, drive interventions and measure phenomenon not easily measurable before.

A cross section of industry will be involved in the symposium including energy, aviation, medicine, agriculture, weather and transportation. Each short talk will tie technology back to real-world, use cases. This will be a fast-paced, highly-interactive event with opportunities for discussion and networking interspersed between the thought-provoking presentations.

During symposium breaks, attendees will be able to view sensor technology demonstrations brought by guest speakers and their organizations.

“Whether you are a student interested in technology, a business leader keeping up with market trends or just a member of the community looking to stay connected with the latest innovative work being done locally, we think you’ll find value in this event and hope that you’ll join us,” said symposium moderator and organizer Dave King, founder and CEO of Exaptive.

A reception and networking event will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. The cost is $35 per person. Register at goo.gl/ skGPPs.
