OKC construction company opens Tulsa office, adds execs
Miller-Tippens Construction Co., 45 NE 52, has expanded to Tulsa with an office at 1836 S Baltimore Ave. and added executives in Oklahoma City.
Zach Burrow, director and senior project manager, heads the Tulsa office. He joined MillerTippens, founded in 2006, as senior project manager in 2013.
“We have already begun great work in the Tulsa area, including building the AnheuserBusch distribution center and the Dover Lift headquarters, and having a local office will help further our impact in the community,” said Lance Miller, who owns the company with Sam Tippens.
Miller-Tippens employs more than 50 people and has an annual volume of $60 million.
“We are thrilled to expand to Tulsa under the leadership of Burrow, who has great construction management experience,” Miller said.
Burrow holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology in construction management from Oklahoma State University and a business minor. He has 10 years of construction experience and is a certified professional construction manager.
Also new to MillerTippens are a chief financial officer, senior project manager, and director of business development and marketing, all based in Oklahoma City.
CFO Cheryl Sutherland graduated cum laude from Cameron University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a certified public accountant. She returned to Oklahoma City in April after working in Chicago. She has 22 years of accounting experience and six years in construction.
Senior project manager Jeremy Halferty holds a bachelor of science in industrial engineering and management from OSU. He has managed education, health care, retail and federal projects in 18 years of construction.
Michelle Morrow, director of business development and marketing, holds a bachelor of science in marketing and a minor in international business from OSU. She has 24 years of business experience including six years of business development in architecture, engineering and construction.
