Thompson out with ACL tear

Oklahoma defensive tackle Michael Thompson, a 2018 signee, tweeted he will not play this fall because of an ACL tear.

Oklahoma is bringing in plenty of reinforcem­ents for the defensive line with the 2018 class, but one of them won't be ready this year.

Rivals four-star defensive tackle Michael Thompson, a 2018 signee, tweeted that he's going to miss this fall with an ACL tear.

With Thompson's injury, the Sooners are set to have four healthy freshmen defensive linemen joining them this season — Jordan Kelley, Jalen Redmond, Ronnie Perkins and Ron Tatum.

Perkins and Redmond enrolled in the spring and went through spring practice.

Oklahoma City FC falls to FC Wichita 2-1

FC Wichita defeated Oklahoma City FC 2-1 in a Women’s Premier Soccer League match on Wednesday night in Wichita, Kansas.

Dora Gallo’s header in the 89th minute won the match for FC Wichita, which now has a six-point lead over Oklahoma City in the Southwest Conference standings.

OSU's Bratton, Wolff win national awards

Oklahoma State men’s golf coach coach Alan Bratton has been named the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year and OSU freshman Matthew Wolff has been selected as the Phil Mickelson Award winner, which honors the nation’s top freshman.

This past season, Bratton led the Cowboys to the program’s 11th NCAA title after defeating Alabama in Stillwater.
