- FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Oklahoma City Dodgers walked a season-high nine batters in a 7-4 loss to the Sacramento River Cats on Tuesday night.

WEST SACRAMENTO, CALIF — The Oklahoma City Dodgers walked five consecutive batters with two outs in the seventh inning as the Sacramento River Cats pulled away for a 7-4 victory Tuesday night at Raley Field.

Dodgers starting pitcher Guillermo Moscoso had a solid night on the mound. The right-hander tossed six innings of three-run ball and struck out nine, but Oklahoma City's pitching staff struggled when he left the game.

After the Dodgers had just rallied for three runs to pull into a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh, the River Cats responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame.

Oklahoma City reliever Chad Girodo struck out the first two batters of the seventh before shortstop Michael Ahmed committed a fielding error to allow the inning to continue.

Each of the next five Sacramento batters drew a walk, including basesloaded walks to Caleb Gindl, Orlando Calixte and Ryan Hanigan, as the River Cats took a 6-3 lead.

Girodo issued one of those walks before being replaced by JT Chargois, who walked all three batters he faced. Pat Venditte walked one batter and finally got the Dodgers out of the inning with a strikeout.

Oklahoma City's pitching staff issued a seasonhigh nine walks on the night, with seven of them by the bullpen in just two innings.
