OSU to host basketball reunion

Oklahoma State and head basketball coach Mike Boynton will host an alumni reunion Aug. 2-3 in Gallagher-Iba Arena for former Cowboy players, managers and coaches.

The event will begin with a team practice on Aug. 2, followed by a dinner and social in the Gallagher Iba Arena O-Club. The group will golf for 18 holes on Aug. 3.

The reunion will be OSU’s final event prior to leaving for its European tour on Aug. 4.

Oklahoma players named JUCO All-Americans

Two Connors State College baseball players were named 2018 first-team All-Americans Monday by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Outfielder Luis Pelayo and designated hitter Colton Burgess from the Warner college were both named to the NJCAA Division I first team.

Seminole State players Gunner Halter, DeShawn Lookout and Dalton Reed earned Division I honorable mention.

In Division II, catcher Jacob Padilla of Murray State and infielder Juan Paulino of Western Oklahoma State were named first-team All-Americans.

From Northern Oklahoma, designated hitter EJ Taylor was named a Division II second-team All-American and outfielder Griffin Keller earned third-team.
