Accounting, finance seminar scheduled

EDMOND — Public-sector finance and accounting profession­als are invited to a July training seminar focusing on issues affecting government­al practition­ers.

The seminar is at 9 a.m. July 11 at the Francis

Tuttle Technology Business Innovation Center, 2824 Progressiv­e Drive in Edmond. The event is hosted by Arledge & Associates P.C. in partnershi­p with Francis Tuttle Technology Center.

The Edmond-based accounting firm will conduct the Government Accounting Seminar for municipal, county, state and tribal government finance and accounting officials and

employees.

The seminar will cover a range of topics from accounting and financial reporting to technology and profession­al culture. Sessions include fraud protection, best practices for grant closeout, workers compensati­on issues, internal controls, OPEB standards and more.

The seminar will be led by accounting, finance and

auditing profession­als, guest speakers and local consultant­s. Up to eight hours of CPE credit are available.
