Here are a few details about the nuptials of Matthew Hart and Jordan Williams:
Color me wed. Williams chose champagne, mauve, gold, gray and white as her wedding colors. The flowers were all white. Williams’ theme could be described as simplistic romantic and candlelight. Along those lines, the wedding aisle was lined with white rose petals and lanterns, and the bridesmaid’s bouquets were made up of white roses and white flowers.
Dressed in Allure. Williams’ Allure Bridal dress, purchased at Bella Rose in Edmond, was champagne and white with lace, sequins and a beaded belt. Her bridal ensemble included a white elbowlength one-tier veil with a hint of sparkle paired with a beaded headband.
Something old. ... Williams’ mother, Lisa Fortenberry, and her grandmother Sandy Smith helped her keep the tradition of wearing “something old” in keeping with the “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” adage as she walked down the aisle. They presented her with a gold pin featuring one emerald and one ruby that belonged to Fortenberry’s grandmother, whom she called Nana. They pinned the heirloom to the ribbon that wrapped around Williams’ bouquet. “My Nana gave the pin to my mother when she graduated from OSU in 1968,” Fortenberry said.
To top it off. The bejeweled pin wasn’t the only special item that found its way into the couple’s wedding. The cake topper for Hart and Williams’ wedding cake also was vintage. It originally topped the wedding cake of Hart’s paternal grandparents.
