Dodgers down Salt Lake to even series
Oklahoma City’s offense needed two big innings to back a strong pitching performance.
The Dodgers used a big three-run third highlighted by three doubles and five shutout innings from Tyler Pill in a 4-1 win over Salt Lake on Thursday in front of 5,015 fans at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark to snap a two-game home losing streak.
OKC’s third inning opened with a double from Jake Peter, who scored on a double by Andrew Toles. Henry Ramos then doubled in Toles and scored on a single by Alex Verdugo. Peter also drove in a run in the fourth.
Pill allowed four hits and a walk. He also struck out four.
Cox to broadcast 15 OKC Dodgers games
The Dodgers and Cox Communications will air 15 games throughout the remainder of the season, beginning with two games this weekend.
Each game will air on Cox’s channel YurView (Channel 1333), beginning 5 minutes before first pitch. Radio play-by-play announced Alex Freedman will also handle the TV play-by-play and be joined by various color analysts throughout the season.
The first broadcast is Friday and Saturday against Salt Lake and Las Vegas.
