MIO Fest returns on Saturday

MIDWEST CITY — The 7th Annual Made in Oklahoma Fest returns to Midwest City from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. This free one-day festival will be inside and outside the Reed Conference Center, off Interstate 40 and Sooner Road at 5750 Will Rogers Road.

The festival is free to attend. Attendees can purchase commemorat­ive Festival glassware and 10 tasting tokens for $22 at the event to sample from nine wineries and a variety of home brew and craft beers.

A variety of activities and entertainm­ent including indoor and outdoor live entertainm­ent by 14 local bands will be offered.

Enthusiast­s will enjoy the Mother Road open car, truck and motorcycle show coordinate­d by the Show Your Ridez team, as well as home brewing and wine making demonstrat­ions and beer tastings from the Home Brew Shoppe and the Red Earth Beer Brewers club.

Vodka lovers can sign up to be an official taster and judge at the Bloody Mary competitio­n from 2 to 4 p.m. for just $5 (limited to 100 tasters), sponsored by Success Vodka. An extensive variety of local wine, beer, food and shopping from over 60 Made in Oklahoma merchandis­e vendors will be on hand, sponsored in part by Grand Casino.

“The annual Made in Oklahoma Fest is a special celebratio­n designed to exclusivel­y showcase Oklahoma-grown products,

services and artistic talent,” said Chris Moler, festival director for the Midwest City Parks and Recreation Department. “It’s always such a wonderful event, and we can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the local flavor of our great state.”

Sitel Group sets hiring event

NORMAN — Sitel announced that it will hire 175 associates immediatel­y for a seasonal assignment through the end of 2018.

The contact center is expanding to support one of Sitel Group’s largest insurance clients — a global profession­al services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health

solutions — with licensed and unlicensed insurance agents.
