Modernism Weekend kicks off
The Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture and the Okie Mod Squad are teaming up to present the third annual Oklahoma Modernism Weekend Saturday and Sunday at the Gold Dome at NW 23 and N Classen.
The main event opens at 8 a.m. Saturday with the Mod Swap, where vendors from around Oklahoma and the region will be selling midcentury pieces from furniture to art to small items in the state’s only all-modern flea market.
At the same time, the public is invited to bring vintage rides — cars, bikes, trailers, motorcycles — to Wheel-o-Rama. Participants will be able to park in a prime spot in front of the Gold Dome for photo opportunities.
For details and to buy tickets for speakers and presentations, go to www.okcmod.com and click on the “Events” tab. The Sunday home tour is sold out.
