YUKON

Connie Jo Livingston, 63, of Yukon, OK, passed away in her home Jan. 17, 2018, with God by her side. Connie was born Sept. 21, 1954, in Oklahoma City, OK to Elizabeth Berniece (Bales) and Gerald Billy Livingston. The family moved to Anadarko in the early '60s and Connie graduated from Anadarko High School in 1972. A member of Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity, Connie was a beautiful young woman who enjoyed sorority life while pursuing her studies in family relations and child development. She graduated Oklahoma State University in 1976 with a B.S. in home economics. Connie married while attending OSU and after graduation, briefly worked at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Enid, OK. She then moved to Missouri, where she lived several years before returning to Oklahoma. Connie was a fine homemaker and wonderful cook. She dearly loved the dogs and cats who were her pets over the years and suffered great loss at each passing. Connie loved her family but, later in life, faced difficulties that she struggled with and overcame. Connie returned to the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where she worked in various positions in Canadian County and she completed over five years work as a Social Service Specialist II in Oklahoma County 55H. Strongly independent, Connie lived alone near Piedmont and told no one of her illness. She waited on the Lord to guide her.

Connie is survived by her brother, Ronald Livingston, of Sun City, AZ; nephews, Joel Livingston, Jacob Livingston and family, and Jonathan Livingston and family; and cousins. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Elizabeth Livingston.

Services will be Friday, June 22 at 1:30 p.m. at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Historic Chapel, located on the cemetery grounds, 13313 N. Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
