Trae Young signs Adidas deal

- FROM STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS

Former Oklahoma point guard Trae Young is an Adidas man.

Young, a projected lottery pick in Thursday's NBA Draft, signed with the brand along with former Miami Hurricanes guard Lonnie Walker IV.

Adidas is plenty familiar with NBA point guards and boasts signature sneakers from James Harden, Damian Lillard and Derrick Rose, though it is currently reshaping its basketball strategy after being a focal point of an FBI investigation.

Prior to signing with Adidas, Young, who wore Nike in his lone year with the Sooners, was courted by Nike, Under Armour and Puma.

Sterling Brown sues Milwaukee over arrest

Milwaukee Bucks guard Sterling Brown sued the city of Milwaukee and its police department Tuesday, saying officers' use of a stun gun during his arrest for a parking violation constitutes excessive force and that they targeted him because he is black.

Brown's attorney Mark Thomsen filed the lawsuit in federal court, accusing police of "discriminating against Mr. Brown on the basis of his race." The lawsuit alleges officers involved in his arrest used their incident report to try to reframe what happened to give the impression Brown was resisted and obstructed them.

Brown had been talking with officers while waiting for a citation for illegally parking in a disabled spot outside a Walgreens at about 2 a.m. on Jan. 26, when officers took him down because he didn't immediately remove his hands from his pockets as ordered.

Jordan will still have input on draft day

Michael Jordan hired proven general manager Mitch Kupchak this offseason to help turn around a franchise mired in mediocrity since he became the Charlotte Hornets' majority owner eight years ago.

But that doesn't mean the highly competitive Jordan won't have input on personnel decisions, beginning with the NBA Draft on Thursday night.

Kupchak said in a pre-draft news conference Tuesday that he'll have final say in who the Hornets select before quickly adding, "well, with the exception of one person — and obviously that's ownership."

The Hornets have the 11th overall pick in the draft.
