Jack White to play ONEOK Field

-

TULSA — Twelve-time Grammy Award winner Jack White will play an exclusive outdoor concert, presented by Prairie Artisan Ales, Sept. 17 at ONEOK Field, 201 N Elgin Ave. It will be the first rock concert at the venue, according to a news release.

ONEOK Field has partnered with SMG Tulsa, the management company of BOK Center, to put on the show. Tickets start at $46.50.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and only will be available online at www. ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Tickets will not be available at the ONEOK Field or BOK Center box offices this weekend. Beginning Monday, tickets will be available for purchase at Arby’s Box Office at BOK Center during regular business hours.

White is in the middle of an extensive world tour in support of his new album “Boarding House Reach,” an ambitious 13-song collection released in March. Written and conceived while holed up in a spartan apartment with no outside distractions, White replicated the identical environment and used the same gear as when he was a 15-year-old aspiring musician − a quarter-inch four-track tape recorder, a simple mixer, and the most basic of instrumentation − to pen sketches of the album’s songs, which range from rock ‘n’ roll, electro and hard funk, proto punk, hip-hop, gospel blues to even country.
