Round Barn to feature OKC musician

- FROM STAFF REPORTS

ARCADIA — Oklahoma City musician Adam Miller will be special guest during the Sunday’s Round Barn Rendezvous at the Arcadia Round Barn.

The monthly acoustic jam session will start at noon, and Miller will perform at 2:30 p.m. at the barn, six miles east of Interstate 35 on historic Route 66.

“The Round Barn is definitely an historical place in Oklahoma, and I love Oklahoma,” said Miller, who will be making his first appearance at the barn. “I’m a fan of Joe Baxter, and he’s been cultivating a lot of music at the barn.”

Baxter is a Midwest City singersongwriter who coordinates the Round Barn Rendezvous and other live music at the barn.

Miller described his own music as “singer-songwriter indie folk.” He accompanies himself on the guitar and harmonica.

Miller said he “uses a variety of influences and experiences as pieces to a collage which makes up the picture that is my artistic life.” He is now at work on his debut solo EP, due out by the end of the year. For more about his music, go to www. adammillerlive.com.

Admission to the Arcadia Round Barn is free, but donations are accepted for the maintenance of the nonprofit museum, which is owned and operated by the Arcadia Historical and Preservation Society. The museum and gift shop are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
