Myriad Gardens

It doesn’t take a special event to make it a special place

It’s a place where our community comes to gather, celebrate, engage, reflect and dine on a feast of color and vibrant life: 301 W Reno Ave., downtown Oklahoma City.

Myriad Botanical Gardens and Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory wraps its arms around those who walk its grounds with an array of landscapes, from the native Texas redbud and three-leaved sumac in Meinders Garden to the tropical orchids and chocolate trees in conservatory.

Fragrance and color are on display, as well. The smell of Pennsylvania sedge, Korean spice viburnum and bush honeysuckle mingle in the Reflection Garden, while day lilies, meadow sage, Shasta daisies and Mexican sunflower offer passers-by a portrait of natural beauty.

The Prairie Garden consists solely of Oklahoma native prairie plants, including flowering plants like Mexican hat plant, blanket flower, milkweeds and blue mist flower, and grasses such as little bluestem, grama grass and switch grass. It encourages people to plant native prairie plants as a habitat for our native pollinators and other wildlife.

Science has long drawn a connection between gardens and human well-being. As American botanist Luther Burbank once observed:

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.”

It doesn’t take a special event to make Myriad Gardens a special place.
