The Oklahoma football Twitter account released a video of OU’s new Jordan Brand uniforms. Monday’s reveal comes eight months after the Sooners announced they were joining the Jordan Brand family.

NORMAN — Oklahoma’s season-opener against Florida Atlantic is still about two months away, but the Sooners are already giving fans a sneak peek at what they’ll be wearing.

At 9 a.m. Monday, the Oklahoma football Twitter account released a 30 second video of OU’s new Jordan Brand uniforms.

While the new threads match the traditional look of OU’s previous uniforms, the updated lettering and Jordan Brand logo on the jerseys, gloves, shoes, pants and long sleeve undershirt signal the university’s shift to the exclusive line of apparel.

“Oklahoma has cultivated a reputation of hard work, dedication and commitment that aligns with the core values of Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand,” Larry Miller, Jordan Brand President said in a release.

Along with the traditional red and the traditional white, the clip also featured both alternate uniforms in crimson and cream. Those uniforms also maintained the wood grain look of the Roughrider alternates worn since the 2014 season.

Monday’s uniform reveal comes exactly eight months after the Sooners announced they were joining the Jordan Brand family in November. While OU will still be a Nike school, the football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball teams will exclusively wear Jordan Brand, produced by Nike.

OU is just the third football program to wear the Jumpman logo, joining Michigan and North Carolina. The Wolverines were the first football team to make the switch, first wearing the uniforms in 2016. The Tar Heels debuted their Jordan Brand gear for the 2017 season.

Florida is also set to unveil Jordan Brand uniforms in Atlanta on July 17.
