Three killed on state roadways
Three people were killed in recent crashes on Oklahoma roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Thursday.
Unidentified man, 55, Norman
An unidentified 55-year-old Norman man was pronounced dead at the scene of a Wednesday night collision in Cleveland County, troopers reported.
About 7:40 p.m., the man was driving a pickup on U.S. 77 at York Road when it collided with a pickup driven by Robert E. Riggle, 50, of Purcell at York Road about 1.5 miles north of Lexington. Riggle was taken to OU Medical Center and admitted in good condition.
The other driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The patrol did not report what happened in the collision. The patrol did not report whether the men wore seat belts in the collision.
Rodney Scott Wilson, 58, Claremore
Wilson was driving a sport utility vehicle on a Rogers County road Thursday morning when he died in a crash, troopers reported.
Before 6:40 a.m., Wilson was ejected from the crash near NS 4130 Road and EW 440 Road. The patrol reported Wilson was not using a seat belt.
The patrol is investigating, but there were no other vehicles listed as involved.
Pafford Emergency Medical Services pronounced Wilson dead.
Unidentified passenger
An unidentified passenger in a construction vehicle was killed in an early Wednesday collision on the Turner Turnpike near Stroud in Creek County, troopers reported.
The construction vehicle collided with a semi-truck in a construction zone in the eastbound lanes of Turner Turnpike about 12:45 a.m. Officials said the construction vehicle made an improper U-turn in front of the truck.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
Both eastbound lanes and a westbound lane were closed for about eight hours as troopers mapped the accident scene.
