Dodgers blank Isotopes as Puig suits up again
OKC’s bats were rolling Wednesday night.
The Oklahoma City Dodgers defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes 5-0 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark Wednesday night, behind two RBI from Donovan Solano.
OKC scored two runs in both the eighth and the sixth inning, as Solano continued his hitting success since his return from injury.
Yasiel Puig was in OKC’s starting lineup as part of his rehab assignment, finishing 1 for 3 with a single and two runs scored.
Puig is on a rehab assignment from the Los Angeles Dodgers after he injured his groin earlier in the year.
Edwin Rios went 2 for 3 with a homerun, his sixth of the season.
Hutchison’s pitching success
Drew Hutchison was pulled in the fifth inning of Wednesday’s game against Albuquerque, but it might’ve been his best performance with OKC.
Hutchison started the game striking out two of the first three batters, on his way to eight strikeouts on the night.
He didn’t allow any runs and only surrendered three hits.
Hutchison’s ERA now sits at 2.52, which would rank fourth in the Pacific Coast League if he played enough games.
He’s appeared in seven games for OKC after signing with the ball club on June 16.
