Nina Westbrook, the wife of Thunder star Russell Westbrook, strongly suggested in an Instagram post Sunday that the couple has a second child on the way.

Russell Westbrook soon will be a father of two, The Oklahoman learned Sunday.

In a post on Instagram Sunday, Nina Westbrook, the wife of the Thunder point guard, posted a strong suggestion that the couple has a second child on the way.

Nina Westbrook posted a photo of the couple’s 1-year-old son, Noah, laying apparently on her stomach. The caption reads “Sunday morning snuggles from Big Brother,” with a pair of baby emoji and a heart.

The Westbrooks, who met in college at UCLA, were married in 2015. Nina gave birth to Noah Westbrook in May of 2017.

In April, Russell Westbrook called his first year as a father, “the best thing of my life.”

“Obviously it's tough for me because I had my son (in the offseason), you get all summer and then I got used to that,” Westbrook said. “Then when the season comes, I've got all this traveling and going back and forth playing and missing some times. But obviously now I'll get a chance to make up some time, but it's definitely something that I cherish and enjoy more than anything.”

In 2017, Westbrook and the Thunder were eliminated in the first round of the postseason, allowing Westbrook to be on hand for the birth of Noah. The Westbrooks' second child could be a mid-season arrival.

Nader wins Paul George fishing tournament

Chalk up a first Thunder victory for Abdel Nader.

The newly-acquired swingman had never been fishing before according to the Thunder's website, but he was the winner of Paul George's Celebrity Fishing Tournament in Castaic, California, on Saturday morning.

Nader, who was joined by Thunder teammates George, Westbrook, and Andre Roberson, as well as head coach Billy Donovan and general manager Sam Presti, came back with five bass which met the tournament's weight requirements. Nader's biggest of the day was 4 pounds, 12 ounces.

Nader, 24, was acquired by the Thunder in a July trade which sent Rodney Purvis to Boston.

“It was a tremendous turnout. Everybody had a great time,” George said on the Thunder's website. “This event did what it’s supposed to. It turned a guy who has never fished before to a guy who wants to come back and fish again. For me, that’s great. That’s a win to me.”

Most importantly, the event raised funds for George's foundation. George also gave a $25,000 check to the Palmdale Department of Recreation and Culture to help resurface basketball courts. George is from Palmdale, which is about an hour east of Castaic Lake.

Last season, the

Paul George Foundation launched an outdoor initiative in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation – the OK Fishing In The Schools program – for 13 Oklahoma school districts.
