- FROM STAFF REPORTS

Patrick Wisdom knocked in the game-winning run in the ninth inning with a double as the Memphis Redbirds nipped Oklahoma City, 2-1, on Thursday to open a four-game series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Wisdom's soft fly ball to left fell and scored Rangel

Ravelo with what proved to be the game-winning run. Ravelo opened the top of the ninth with a single and moved to second on a single by Carson Kelly.

The Dodgers put a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the frame when Tim Locastro was hit by a pitch with two outs and stole second. But Redbirds' reliever Andrew

Morales got Connor Joe to ground out to second to end the game.

Oklahoma City scored its only run in the bottom of the first. Locastro opened the inning with a double, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored when Joe grounded out.

Memphis tied it in the fifth when Edmundo Sosa homered to left field. Five Redbird pitchers held the Dodgers to one run on nine hits. Dominic Leone picked up the win in relief while Morales got the save. Dodgers starter Daniel Corcino pitched seven innings and allowed one run on four hits. Reliever Joe Broussard took the loss.

The Dodgers and Memphis continue the series Friday night at the Brick. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
