Jaguars suspend Ramsey, Fowler after practice altercation

-

The Jacksonville Jaguars have suspended All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey and defensive end Dante Fowler for violating team rules and conduct unbecoming of a Jaguars football player.

Neither one will make the trip to Minnesota on Tuesday for two days of joint practices and a preseason game. The teams play Saturday.

Fowler was involved in several fights Sunday, including one after practice with fellow defensive end Yannick Ngakoue. Ramsey shouted profanities at media members who caught the altercation on video.

Former Tulsa star Walker signs with Bills

The Buffalo Bills have shuffled defensive tackles by signing former University of Tulsa standout Tyrunn Walker and reaching an injury settlement to release John Hughes.

Walker joins his third team in three years after getting a sack and forcing a fumble in 16 games, including four starts, with the Los Angeles Rams last season. He spent three seasons with New Orleans and two with Detroit and has 4 ½ sacks in 58 career games.

Hughes injured his groin during Buffalo’s preseason-opening 28-23 loss to Carolina on Thursday.

Eagles sign Christian Hackenberg

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed quarterback Christian Hackenberg and waived rookie offensive lineman Ian Park.

Hackenberg was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the New York Jets in 2016 but didn’t play in a game. The former Penn State star was traded to Oakland in May for a conditional 2019 draft pick and was released two weeks later.
