Opening date set for The Container Store

The Container Store has set its opening date at the Penn Square Mall for Sept. 15.

The 18,000-square-foot store at 5644 N Pennsylvania will be the business’ first Oklahoma location. A grand opening weekend commences Sept. 15 at 9:40 a.m. and will include various giveaways and prices.

“Oklahomans have been traveling to our Dallas stores for years to accomplish their storage and organization projects,” The Container Store Area Director Levi Beroth said. “It is finally time to bring our unique solutions directly to them and our team of experts in Oklahoma City is excited to begin serving our customers and becoming an active part of the community.”

The retailer offers thousands of storage and organization products in 16 lifestyle sections.

A partnership with the Oklahoma Zoological Society is planned for charity during the opening weekend, donating 10 percent of grand opening sales to ZOOfriends, a nonprofit supporting the Oklahoma City Zoo.

“ZOOfriends is both proud to partner with The Container Store for its grand opening in Oklahoma City and excited to officially welcome them to our great state,” ZOOfriends Executive Director Tim Rasnic said. “We hope area residents will join us for the grand opening weekend festivities and shop to support the Zoo and welcome The Container Store to our city.”
