Conference is coming up
The Oklahoma Turning Point Conference and Policy will be Aug. 30 at Moore Norman Technology Center, 4701 12 Ave. NW.
Nathan Mellor, CEO of C3 Brands and president of Strata Leadership, is the keynote speaker. Breakout sessions will discuss paid family leave, student wellbeing, the opioid epidemic, teen pregnancy prevention and Oklahoma’s proposed Medicaid work requirement.

Mercy opens Seminole clinic
Two doctors have opened a family medicine practice under the Mercy network at 2403 W Wrangler in Seminole.
Dr. Jenna Butner Geohagan graduated from Seminole Public Schools before attending the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Dr. Roselynn Simpson Dean grew up near Bearden and also graduated from the OU College of Medicine.

Hospital association names president
The Oklahoma Hospital Association appointed Patti Davis as its next president, effective Sept. 5.
Current President Craig Jones will retire Aug. 31, after 21 years leading the association.
Davis was senior vice president of external affairs at OU Medicine, where she previously worked as senior vice president of strategy and business development. She worked at the hospital association from 1996 to 2013 as vice president of government relations and executive vice president.
New member on commission
Jace Wolfe recently was appointed to the commission overseeing the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services.
He is director of audiology and research at the Hearts of Hearing Foundation and an adjunct professor in the audiology department at the OU Health Sciences Center.
