Meditation course is offered

DEL CITY — Del City Church of the Nazarene will host two Gospel Sing events in the coming days.

A special concert featuring singer-songwriter Phil Cross and Poet Voice will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, 4701 SE 26. Cross is perhaps best known for being the author of a wide variety of gospel songs, including “Jesus Built A Bridge.”

The church’s monthly Gospel Sing will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 1. Master’s Touch and The Ambassador­s will be featured.

Admission is free for both concerts. A love offering will be received at each gathering.

EDMOND — The Brahma Kumaris internatio­nal spiritual organizati­on will offer a free Raja Yoga Meditation course on Sept. 1 at the Raja Yoga Meditation Center, 500 S Broadway, Suite 104.

The session will be led by Sister Ranjan Inamdar, south central center coordinato­r for the organizati­on’s centers in Dallas and Oklahoma.

Brahma Kumaris was founded in India in the 1930s by Brahma Baba and now has its spiritual headquarte­rs in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India. Brahma Kumaris service outside India began in 1971 and now comprises a worldwide network of centers in over more than 110 countries and territorie­s. There are currently estimated to be about 1 million students.

Raja Yoga is a yoga of the mind, guiding practition­ers to a more peaceful, joyful and centered life.
