Donte Grantham’s college career ended abruptly. He’ll get his first shot at the NBA in Oklahoma City.

The former Clemson forward on Sunday signed a one-year contract with the Thunder, according to a release from his alma mater. The deal is a nonguaranteed contract with a training camp invitation.

Oklahoma City has 15 players under contracts that are guaranteed for 2018-19 or soon will be. That’s the most allowed at the start of an NBA season. A team can have up to 20 players on its training camp roster.

The 6-foot-8 Grantham averaged 14.2 points and 6.9 rebounds as a senior at Clemson, but his season was cut short on Jan. 20, when he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Grantham shot 56 percent from the floor and 41.9 percent from 3-point range as a senior.

In his four-year career, Grantham played in 114 career games, starting 114. He ranks 33rd in Clemson history with 1,100 career points.

Blue schedule released

The Oklahoma City Blue on Monday unveiled a schedule that includes 17 of its 24 home games on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

The Blue, the Thunder’s affiliate in the developmental NBA G League, will open the season on the road at the Stockton Kings, the new home of the Sacramento Kings’ affiliate. The Kings’ G League team previously played in Reno, Nev., as the Bighorns.

OKC will play 22 of its 24 home games at the Cox Convention Center and will host two Field Trip Day games, playing the Wisconsin Herd on Feb. 27 at Chesapeake Energy Arena and the Kings on March 6 at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kan.

The Blue has 24 road games and two neutral-site games at the annual NBA G League Showcase.

OKC will open its home schedule on Nov. 9 against South Bay.

The team’s roster is to be determined, but will feature an exciting G League rookie in guard Deonte Burton, signed to a two-way contract with the Thunder.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Burton will split time between the Blue and the Thunder and can spend up to 45 days in the NBA under the two-way deal. Burton averaged 10.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, three assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.6 steals playing for the Thunder’s team at the Las Vegas Summer League.

The Thunder also has signed center Tyler Davis to a two-way contract. Davis led Texas A&M in scoring as a junior last season, averaging 14.9 points per game.

Thunder rookie Hamidou Daillo, a high-flying guard from Kentucky, is on a guaranteed contract with the NBA team but also could spend some time with the Blue this season.
