TURNPIKES LABOR DAY TRAVEL ADVISORIES

1) Interstate 40 work continues in Oklahoma County. Drivers should be alert to narrowed lanes and to eastbound I-40 traffic shifted to the west next to westbound I-40 lanes between I-240 (mile marker 165) and Peebly Road (mile marker 169) as part of ongoing widening and interchang­e reconstruc­tion project at Choctaw Road. The Triple XXX Road bridge over I-40 is closed until 2019. Drivers must use an alternate route.

2) Interstate 35 lanes shift near S 19 Street in Moore (mile marker 116) and Indian Hills Road (mile marker 114) in Cleveland County (mile marker 114) as part of constructi­on of the new SW 34 bridge over I-35 that continues through summer 2019. The speed limit is also reduced in the work zone.

3) State Highway 33 is narrowed with speed limits reduced in Guthrie in each direction between I-35 and U.S. 77 for ongoing bridge constructi­on. Speed limits are reduced and wide loads are restricted through the work zone. There is no pedestrian access across the bridge during constructi­on.

4) State Highway 48 narrows at the Cimarron River in Creek County to one lane with temporary traffic signals in place over the Cimarron River, two miles north of the State Highway 51 junction near Mannford for a bridge replacemen­t project. Delays can be expected and drivers should allow extra time to travel through this work zone.

5) State Highway 10 near Miami in Ottawa County is closed five miles east of the Will Rogers Turnpike at the Spring River for bridge replacemen­t. Traffic is detoured to State Highway 137 or State Highway 125 and U.S. 60.

6) Westbound U.S. 64 is narrowed to one lane east of Roland in Sequoyah County as part of a bridge rehabilita­tion project.

7) SH 51 in Cherokee County is having a bridge replaced over Pecan Creek, 6 miles east of State Highway 80, near Tahlequah.

8) U.S. 62 lane shifts in Adair County for bridge replacemen­t at Dennison Hollow, 4 miles east of the Cherokee County line.

9) North- and southbound U.S. 69 are narrowed to one lane near Eufaula in McIntosh County for a pavement project. Expect delays in the area.

10) U.S. 259 is narrowed to one lane with signals near Smithville in McCurtain County for a bridge constructi­on project.

11) North- and southbound U.S. 69 is narrowed at U.S. 69B in McAlester in Pittsburg County for a bridge constructi­on project.

12) State Highway 79 has reduced speeds at the Red River in Jefferson County for a bridge replacemen­t project.

13) East- and westbound U.S. 270 is narrowed near the SH 51 junction near Seiling in Dewey County for a widening project.

14) U.S. 81 is narrowed to one lane in each direction and a wide-load restrictio­n in Kingfisher County south of Kingfisher for 3 miles for an ongoing surface project.

15) U.S. 81 is narrowed to one lane in each direction north of the State Highway 3 junction in Kingfisher for a bridge replacemen­t project. There is an oversize-load restrictio­n.

16) U.S. 77/State Highway 39 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Purcell and Lexington in Cleveland County for an ongoing bridge replacemen­t project.

17) U.S. 62 is narrowed to one lane with pilot car service and reduced speeds near Altus in Jackson County for a resurfacin­g project.

18) Drivers should be alert to reduced speeds on State Highway 30, north of Hollis in Harmon County, for a bridge replacemen­t project at the Salt Fork of the Red River.

19) Drivers should be alert to reduced speeds on I-35 just south of State Highway 7 at mile marker 54 near Davis in Murray County for a bridge replacemen­t project.

20) The westbound U.S. 412/U.S. 64 on-ramp from northbound SH 151 and the westbound U.S. 412/U.S. 64 off ramp to southbound SH 151 are both closed north of the Keystone Dam in Tulsa County. Consider an alternate route such as SH 51, State Highway 97 and U.S. 412/U.S. 64.

21) Drivers should be alerted to reduced speeds and narrowed lanes on I-44 and U.S. 62/Rogers Lane in Lawton in Comanche County for an interchang­e project.

The Turner Turnpike from mile marker 202 to mile marker 220 between Bristow and Tulsa will have speeds reduced in an expansion constructi­on zone.

OKLAHOMA CITY METRO AREA

In Oklahoma City, motorists should expect a significan­t shift of the northand southbound I-235 lanes between N 36 and I-44 continuing through fall 2018 as part of an ongoing widening and reconstruc­tion project.

The northbound I-235 off-ramp to N 50 will remain closed while paving work continues on the northbound lanes through the end of summer. Off Broadway alternate routes are I-35, I-40, I-44, State Highway 74/ Lake Hefner Parkway and Lincoln Boulevard.

The first subsection of the new Oklahoma City Boulevard between Shields Boulevard/E.K. Gaylord Boulevard and Robinson Avenue is open to traffic at noon Thursday.

If traveling I-40, motorists are encouraged to exit at Pennsylvan­ia Avenue or Robinson Avenue.

TULSA METRO

Traffic in Tulsa is narrowed and shifted on east- and westbound U.S. 412/U.S. 64/SH 51 over Adams Road/97th W Ave. as part of a bridge rehabilita­tion project. The eastbound U.S. 412/U.S. 64/SH 51 onramp from Lincoln Avenue is also closed until further notice.

North- and southbound Peoria Avenue is narrowed to one lane in each direction at the U.S. 75 junction until further notice.

The northbound U.S. 75 off-ramp to Peoria Avenue is closed.
