Broncho announces new album, Oklahoma City tour launch
BRONCHO − the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based band of Ryan Lindsey (vocals/ guitar), Nathan Price (drums), Ben King (guitar), and Penny Pitchlynn (bass) − has announced that its new Chad Copelinproduced album “Bad Behavior” will be released Oct. 12 via Park The Van Records.
The band marked the announcement with a new double single and music video “Sandman” and “Boys Got to Go.” Cinematic in scope and intriguing in tone, the 12-minute video was directed by Pooneh Ghana, who explains in a statement that it “follows a man’s journey of selfrealization as he breaks down and breaks through his own wall. He slowly finds the strength to start over and face life with a new outlook and clarity. He truly embraces life again.” Mark Ward plays the narrative’s protagonist, James Asher plays the character’s younger self, and the members of Broncho play enigmatic guardian angels.
The band, which has toured the U.S. and Europe extensively, including arena shows with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age and Cage The Elephant, will head out on a headlining North American tour in October and November to celebrate the release of “Bad Behavior.”
The punk-pop quartet will begin its trek opening for Father John Misty Oct. 11 at his Oklahoma City show at The Jones Assembly, 901 W Sheridan Ave. Ticket prices range from $35 to $60.
